Cleansing and Charging your CrystalsThis Combination Essence will cleanse and charge crystals.
It is a combination of:
Merlinite
Spindle
Litchen
Rosemary Essential Oil
Roman Camomile Essential Oil
Use it on a day to day basis, for example after a healing when it is best practise to cleanse your crystals.
When you first find a crystal you dont know how it came to you and who has handled it previously so it is always best to cleanse it before you start to use it.
There are a few different approaches which you can use, which one you choose will come down to personal preference though in some cases you will have to avoid using some methods due to the delicacy of the crystal. You can refer to the hardness rating (Mohs scale) to help guide you in the best way to cleanse a particular stone.
Crystals with a hardness of 5 or more can be cleansed in a bowl of Sea Salt Water (not table salt as it contains an anti-caking agent). Use 2 teaspoons of Salt to a pint of spring water in a glass / terracotta bowl something natural not plastic or metal. Leave the crystals in the bowl for about 24 hours dowse or intuit for how long. Rinse in running water. This technique is good for Quartz, Agates, Jaspers, Amethyst.
Softer crystals can be cleansed in a bed of Sea Salt. Lay them out on a bed of Sea Salt so the crystals are are not touching each other and then cover with more salt. Again leave for about 24 hrs dowse/intuit for how long is needed. Dust off any salt stuck to the crystal. THROW THE SALT AWAY after use as it will have picked up negative energies from the crystals. This technique is good for Calcites, Selenites, Flourites. IT IS NOT SUITABLE FOR OPAL.
Sounds Singing Bowls or Tibetan cymbals tingshas can be used to break up the negative energies attached to a crystal dowse. Smudging with White Sage or Cedarwood smudge sticks by passing the crystal through the smoke. Again dowse. If you have a room full of crystals you can use Frankincense granules in a proper burner with charcoal leave the crystal in the smoke filled room for several hours again dowse. You can use Essential Oils like Juniper, Pine and Frankincense for quartz and other hardness 7 crystals - rub the oil from the base to the termination again dowse for which oils to use and for when it is cleansed. Kyanite never needs cleansing.
Once a crystal has been thoroughly cleansed I have found you can use the following techniques as and when required to clean a crystal: I call them Quickies:
Running Water
Breath Cleansing
Mister spray
For severely damaged crystals burying may be the only answer. If crystal has been with someone through a traumatic illness/disorder or death it may require a longer cleansing. Dowse for how long the crystal needs to be in the earth, wrap it up well if you are concerned about it getting wet for prolonged periods. Remember where you put it. Extra re-charging will be needed once cleansed.
Energising Or charging crystals can be done in sun light, moonlight or in an amethyst cluster. Go with your instincts as to which approach is best for each crystal, I have found that sunlight and moonlight during a Waxing or Full Moon result in very different feel to the energy of a crystal some prefer one to the other and some crystals can fade in direct sunlight amethyst. Dowse for how long it will take to charge the crystal.
Amethyst clusters are great places to leave your Pendulums between use.
Look after your crystals treat them with respect keep them in natural fibres if you are moving them or storing them, if you drop it apologise, and it will work much harder for you. If you are keeping several crystals together in a bag try to keep them all the same or similar hardness otherwise the softer ones will become damaged by the harder ones.
Programming a Crystal:
Hold the crystal in your left hand, ground, connect to Source and centre yourself. Ask your Higher Self and Guides for help. Now, focus your thoughts on the program you want to place in the crystal picture it in your mind and send those thoughts / images to the crystal whilst repeating:

Say this three times in total. When you have finished, thank the crystal for its help and your Higher-self and Guides.
In time you may find a programming that you feel more comfortable with.
